No, I didn't help organize the killers or contribute in any way to their terrible cause. However, I was one of millions of Arab-Americans who did the unspeakable on 9/11: nothing.

I refuse to accept any guilt for my Irish Catholic heritage and their background of violence and hatred towards Protestants. Over here it's a new start. We are all the same.

Sept. 17, 2006, 2:11 p.m.This might be a leap but what I think he is trying to say is that although he is Arab he was not complicit in what happened on 9/11 or thereafter. Arabs who are non-violent are sensitive to the general anti-Muslim sentiments these days. Im sure it has changed their lives in many and uncomfortable ways the same as it does for any minority or any group widely believed to hold certain views that are unpopular or simply not widely held in the states.
