A dying hep-C patient, Richard, secured an appointment at the Mayo Clinic. After getting turned down, he was referred to the University of San Francisco.

You know, it really is a sad day when the "bottom line" is more important than people. Especially the people who help give you a great bottom line.

I think that it would be a good idea for everyone to call Southwest and ask about their fat people policy. It might be a good thing to let them know that you are concerned about flying with them because you might be discriminated against. I called and asked them a lot of spefic questions about acceptable dimentions and weights. I asked the agent if he thought I should diet before flying Southwest or maybe use another airline.
