We will all truly miss having abundant fresh and safe drinking water available. Our water supply is critical and some point we need to clean up what our industry has tarnished. Consider the lakes, rivers, and streams in the US. Many of them are tarnished with lead, mercury, polonium, and other heavy metals. None of those chemicals are safe at any level for human consumption. Cleaning our planet should take priority over killing and maiming the people of other countries.

This is the most important story in the line-up today. Water Wars are coming. I hate to sound like one of those guys in Times Square with a cardboard sign, but, if we don't clean up our act (and our planet) the end is near! Wake up people, get your Washington moron's telephone number and bug him/her....a lot support any and all measures to clean up the environment and slow global warming. Call, and demand.

A touchy, feely story on art instead of any shred of science certainly adds to the water issue. Must be a cousin to Global Warming.

All due respect to World Changing, but I've posted a story on freshwater conservation that delves much more into the scientific realm, esp. the impact on fisheries @ http://donoevil.netscape.com/story/2007/03/18/worl

Hope it's not verboten to cross-post another article in the comments of this one. If so, please forgive.
