Something our young people might take more seriously. There are far too many young people who don't put enough emphasis on an education. Every day we read about how the United States is no longer the leader in technology, math, science, inventions, etc. The Chinese put a high priority on education and particularly a foreign one. I hope that in the next 50 to 100 years we don't allow ourselves to become a third world country due to our lack of education.

Well stated, Harbeas. Although I don't see the Chinese model as perfect, still there is an emphasis on learning. Here in America we are rapidly becoming a nation of drugged, dumbed-down consuming machines, and that's a sad legacy to pass on to our young people.
