Cutting off one's oxygen for a high?

Sneak that kid a beer or a joint or something.

Underground cartoon artist Vaughn Bode died from erotic auto-asphyiation. And it was a stupid waste.

For a quick high you get oblivion. What a trade off.

Whatever happend to DARE? Dont kids play DARE anymore? Spin the bottle? Something other than self harm? I couldnt hang with these kids, theyve got my generation beat. We thought it was cool to run naked. They think its cool to choke themselves.

What a stupid game. I'm glad Levi lived to tell his story so he can hopefully save others' lives.

So choking feels good now? That sounds pretty troubling. Being a teen and hearing this is even more amazing because with all the drugs out there this seems to be the most dangerous thing period.

I love how most of these articles fail to mention the masturbation part.

Dang just another example of my failures as a parent, I never told my children, don't hang yourself it's bad for you, better go tell them not to run head first into brick walls while I'm thinking of it.

Wow. Are kids 'stupid-er' these days or do we just hear of their ignorance more than we did years ago?

I agree with the author that this topic need to be discussed in school, by someone trained to relate to children. There is nothing more tragic than the senseless death of a child.

Unfortunately, many young boys tend to think that they are ten ft. tall and bullet proof. I guess it's the video game culture and the result of too much free time. In any case, this is an issue that needs to be addressed. Good article.
