Yeah, "come back and pick up this furniture set that I expressly showed my desire for, as to have it quickly delivered to my home".
I am also deeply disturbed by things labeled as "euro style" (do a search on goo-gle), as if all europeans like efficient, smartly-styled accessories and fixtures. We drive SUVs too, and sometimes don't recycle. I'm tired of the racism here.
Let's face it, Crayola needs "N word" brown crayons and "Lily A$$ whitey" peach. And a few others.

If you notice, the sofa was made in China
"passed the blame to a Chinese company, but apologized for the labels. He said he would contact the furniture maker in Guangzhou and demand they remove all similar labels."

You know , when I was a kid I really wanted to know what n***** ment , so I looked it up in Merrian-Websters dictionary at the school library . It means lazy and shiftless . It didn't say anything about any people or any race or color . Maybe society should get a little more educated .

Or mabey you should educate yourself to the fact that it's been a racial slur in the US for hundreds of years. Don't try to act like the word wasn't used as a slur. Since when was something like lazy and shiftless used to denote a color shade? Sky blue, grass green and shiftless brown? Please! Don't insult people's intelligence.

This is another shake down conceived and planned by Jessie Jackson and his rainbow coalition.

That's spelled "n.i.g.g.a.r.d.l.y", man. Not to be confused with the "N-word" It comes from the norse language, and is not even connected with the "N-word".
For instance, Scrooge (from A Christmas Carol), would definitely be considered n i g g a r d l y, while a person of african decent would be offended at the use of the "N-word", but would have to be completely ignorant to be offended by the netscape-censored word of no relation, which is "n i g g a r d l y".

This family should have their vision examined for color blindness. The color might have been burnt orange.

nigah in Chinese has a different meaning from whatever existed in the Moore family's mind. Another jump to a defensive state of mind.

That's what you get from foreign manufacturers, poor cultural sensitivity. But I bet it was a good price.

Heh heh heh N Word Brown. What's next? F word flowery? H & C word white? I will assume you know what the F word stands for. The H is for honky and the C is for cracker. Two words that are not politically incorrect to say which my granddaughters have to put up with being called everyday at school with no recourse.

I would have been shocked too if that had happened to me, the manufacturer is not the only one responsible,People in sales- they should be especially observant of the product when getting things from over seas and selling them in America. Ok so sales is now aware of that problem, it's their responsibility.
I'm asking because I really don't know the answer to this, but is the N word derogatory in every country?

That poor couch. How sad it must feel to have been labeled with the N word. And then, to add insult to injury, the owners don't want the couch, because it's a N*****. What is this country coming to when we reject furniture because of it's race? I pray that someday a couch, regardless of color will feel proud to have someone's big a$$ sit all over it, without the prejudice that is prevalent today.

Mrs. Moore was stunned eh...so much so that she had to turn this into news. I wish everytime I'm insulted I could make a public announcement of the fact. OH NO SOMEBODY USED THE N WORD...the sky is falling down!!! Is it a nice word? Well no not at all. Still, it's only a word. Good grief you'd think there was murder. I tell ya what, once you make people think they are entitled to never being offended, they really get carried away with the idea.

Which reminds me of another point. There is still free speech in the US last time I checked. If I want to get on my roof and scream the N word all day long I have every right to do just that. Obviously I would be some kind of low life if I were to do so, but it's my right. Americans are getting quite overzealous to protect themselves from all offense. Eventually first amendment rights will be taken away just because some people think they have the right to not be offended ever. Political correctness is BS, and any law legislasting political correctness is BS. I'm getting so tired of people screaming bloody murder every time someone else is politically incorrect. Personally, when I hear someone spout something politically incorrect, although I might disagree with what they say, I'm actually glad to see that freedom of speech is still going strong.

WOW A whole sofa in that color.... I think it means that it will look comfortable sitting in front of the TV all day long. They should have bought the "paperbag brown" coffee table to go with it...
The more you over react, the more power you give to your offender.
Let it go and forgive them. They dont know what they are doing.
If you carry it around with you its gonna get heavy...Let it go......

So does this mean I have the right to be offended each time I buy a box of saltine "crackers"?
To me, it is ignorant that you all say "n-word", kinda like your head will be cut off if you repeat what you are thinking, or quote someone else said. The term "nig*er" probably refers to dark color rather than racial origin. But still, I just don't see the fuss. I have a friend in Kansas City who just loved to annoy my daughters by referring to himself as a "dumb nig*er". The girls were about 12 or so, and they were being taught this politically correct bull$hit in school, as well as by their friends. Melvin, loved to annoy them by using the word like it was an everyday thing. Hell, if I found a label on something I owned that said "honky" It wouldn't phase me the least.

I'm not a linguist (or even a cunning linguist), but doesn't ni**er or niger mean simply "black" or "brown" in other languages?

The Chinese should not sell products into the North American market labled with the N word any more than we should sell into the Chinese market with items labeled ****** Yellow or Gook Yellow. Oh, maybe ****** is ok since it refers to the stuff put between logs of a log house and gook might refer to some color of dirt.
