I was shopping for a nice car for my friend. We pulled into a used car lot in Edmonds, Washington that had an almost give away price on a Nissan Z350. This is a used car lot, we were the only customers, four sales people, they all ignored us. They also happened to be young male Muslims.
After making an attempt to get their attention, and one on a cell phone, put his hand up to indicate he was too busy.
I contacted the FBI the next day and was stunned in what I described.
Three weeks later, a short local news bulletin said that five young Muslims from Edmonds were being held for investigation by the FBI

Wow, this is some real self-hating crap! For him to say Muslims are the only terrorists is bad in so many ways, I can't count. That's like saying gays are the only one that like BJ's.
What Bill?.....Be there in a minute... :0

My daughter was shopping for a Dodge Van. She went to five dealerships in one day. The best she was treated was when she was told that she couldn't buy anything because she had no credit history. (She had her own credit union financing through the Navy where she was an aerospace engineer. -- the dealer sales folk never asked.) the next best was where she was just ignored.
I went into a chinese restaurant and sat for quite awhile until I got tired of being ignored and left.
In our town recently an artist put up a cardboard picture of the President with a knife stuck in it. Some local locos -- you know the type -- called the Secret Service, They threatened him with all sorts of stuff.
I have been treated badly by car salesmen. One time by a video camera store manager. He turned out to be Israeli. I didn't turn any of those people in to the FBI.

I don't think those Muslims were picked up by the FBI for poor service. I'm glad that tech working on that DVD for those Muslims wasn't you. We would have a lot of young dead soilders at Fort Dix by now!!!!
You could always claim that you were frozen in terror for fear of not being politically correct.

Mark,
Good call. The "salesmen" obviously did not do their homework when they set up this front. Any American knows that used car salesmen are like piranha and with you and your friend as the only customers, you should have been ninja'd the moment you stepped on to the lot.
The scene did not add up and I presume that is why you made the call.

I use to do car sales. You were lucky if another salesman didn't screw you out of the sale

Mark that is an incredible story.
I have always maintained that the best way to deal with this problem is to treat it like a criminal investigation. Here in N.J. we had our own incident yesterday, as I'm sure you know.
There are problems with how we as a nation have approached domestic terrorism. As I watched old w.a.s.p. ladies in wheelchairs, Scotsmen and Canadians being searched, and shampoo, soft drinks and hot sauce being confiscated the last time I boarded a plane, I pondered over the waste this was, these people chosen "randomly" were not likely bombers. The treatment of homeland security funds as windfall toy buying opportunities by most recipients. Trying to stop shoe bombers with Stealth Jets & Carpet Bombs. The willingness of citizens (on the far right at least) to surrender their hard won freedoms for a false sense of security from our government. These things improve nothing.

I have heard many Europeans who have been dealing with terrorism longer than the U.S. say altering what you do in your life is surrendering to terrorism, this rings true to me.
These are criminals, and must be dealt with as such. Kudos to Mark and all of us who unfortunately are forced to accept this task, to keep a suspicious eye out for odd behavior. It is likely too that really poor foreign policy, the erroneous invasion and subsequent occupation of Iraq, and the poor impression Bush has made globally does nothing but help recruit more brainwashed souls into terrorism.

The dems are almost insisting that Bush stop trying to close the borders! Look at the Ft. Dix Six! Several were illegal aliens! Seems like they know they can come in, or else they wait like you said, until one of the cut-and-run dems in in the White House letting little girls suck away the country!
We haven't had one event since 9/11. To bad you can't see the forest for your trees.

I heard on the news a year ago about Canada picking up eight terrorist that were planning on putting a hi-jacked flight into a nuclear plant up wind from New York. That news was gone in the same day. I wonder how much they are not telling us.

As a muslim, I am not planning the demise of anyone. Nor do I have grand designs of overthrowing the government. I'll leave that to the Montana and Michigan Militias and the republic of Texas. I just want to live my life, follow the rules, raise my children, watch good football and eat good pizza. Oh and a little trim every now and then wouldn't hurt

In this case, you're a good Muslim. The vast majority of Muslims are good, honest, peaceful people. We do not and should not have a problem with them. It's the violent murderous terrorist minority we have a problem with and this is where you and the rest of good, honest, peaceful Muslims should make your choice: are you with the rest of the world AGAINST the violent terrorist Muslim minority or are you WITH THEM? Pretending that Islamist terrorism does not exist is not an option.

This article is basicly about your intelligen... same ones that raised the alarm on my countries way of honouring a WW1 war vet that passed away;by putting a poppy(war symbol for the dead)in the middle of our quater:transmitters they were, spy cameras and all other parinoid things, this Gov will turn your country into something even George Orwell wouldn't know.Remember history:1938 The Orson Wells radio broadcast of alien invasion?well it realy happened and they are in the White House

There was no truth about the transmitters and poppies, you knew that before you even posted this! If you believe in aliens from space, you are a little whacked! Why not just look at the aliens entering every day, while the dems won't protect our borders. "Cut-and-run dems," like Reid and Murtha are a bane to the courageous Americans!
After reading your comments, I suspect you probably believe in Michael Moore's film, and the latest rewrite (third version) of Loose Change as well.
Be sure to look under your bed after your mother sends you to bed.

Do not fear 1984, it is already here. 1984 was not about spying on people, it was about thought control. Kerry gets a Silver Star for saving a crew member's life, discredited as a coward. Pat Tillman is killed by his own troops, he is declared a hero. Orwell, you see four items, you are to say I see FIVE!!!!
The spying was to assure that you followed the state's demands

Orwell was about big brother's authority, and the lack of courage by many of the "supposed" leaders. In the USA, the democrat liberals are overwhelming in their "cut-and-run," cowardly approach to international issues.
By the way, Kerry did not deserve his awards, and there are significant questions about his multiple Purple Hearts. I would be careful about bring his history back into any discussion of courage. While the truth of his award was a "political expedient," the military never-the-less the issued them. To challenge that may expose the awards of LBJ, JFK and many other frauds.

I was not confirming his worthy, I do question his motives. It was the only example of thought control I could come up with. A point could also be the belief that he earned his medal was a "vote for me" effort at thought control.

{{A Muslim cleric on national Middle Eastern radio stated, "Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims.}}
*sarcasm on* Someone should inform the families of Tim McVeigh, Harris and Klebold, and the Virginia Tech shooter that they didn't get their proper muslim burial. *sarcasm off*

That Muslim cleric may not even read a paper that carries international news.
