This story brought back fond memories....fuzzy ones but fond. This came in two forms hard and soft....loved the smell of it burning. It was not as strong as most forms of hash but good. Being a port town..there was always an abundant supply...havn't seen it for years now. The movement to put soft drugs into the same catagoery as hard addictive drugs...drugs that kill the spirit and the body...is just wrong. I could accept this maybe if alcohol was treated the same way. I hate double standards...especially in this instance. What really gets me, is the self rightous politicians, that smoked pot in their early years condeeming it now to support the part line.

I agree greenmac, this brought back wonderful memories to me, lol, fuzzy to, I loved the "taste" of it!!
I'm drooling now!!!!
I also agree about the soft drug movement being co mingled, it is so wrong, my God this is a natural plant I feel the bible referred to as the "Tree of Life who's leaves cure all"
It would also give more control over abuse by legalizing, and would make a ton of money for health care from taxing.

Hi mm!! I thought this was an interesting article, it is so frustrating that here is a natural plant that farmers can grown (even in poor countries) and they can make a good living.
It could perhaps give the poppy growers an incentive to change crops.
My mouth is watering just thinking about the last trip to Amsterdam, we are going to go next summer..
I would love to go for the Cannibas Cup, I think that is next month already.

In Afghanistan the poppy farmers ARE changing over to cannabis and hashish.
You can pick up a couple of kinds of lebanese hash there, and at much less than the $20 gram in the US.
I'll admit, I usually pick up the Afghani hash, nice and black/greenish, expanding smoke.... but after you smoke it for a couple of months, you do get a little cough.
