      yeah one should avoid spamming b/c once you are flagged as spammer then its too difficult to take off that label.

              Good info, but I was hoping it would deal more with e-mail spam.

              One I've been increasingly getting is the bogus request to buy e-mail.

              It generally comes in pigeon English and claims the buyer wants to by 100 widget machines or whatever. It's always a substantial number of some high-ticket item. I do have a business Web site, but it's never got anything to do with what we sell. The supposed "buyer" always asks for a price quote and what forms of payment you accept. Are they just trying to get wire transfer info to empty your bank account, or what is this all about?
