Do No Evil – Deborah Palfrey, convicted of running a high-end Washington prostitution ring that snagged Sen. David Vitter (R), killed herself Thursday, weeks after her trial ended on charges that she said she would never go to prison for. Palfrey was convicted April 15 by a federal jury of running a prostitution service that catered to D.C.'s political elite.
As for her clients...how many of them are now worried that she left some evidence of who they might be? I'll bet some of them are nervous as hell!
I had the same thoughts as Unusual Suspect - maybe she was about to reveal some more republicans! I know there was at least one democrat - Spitzer. Although I'll bet there are a lot of republicans on that list - including the current administration. I guess Ms. Palfrey knew better when Dick called to go hunting with him - I guess Dick Cheney made sure she was taken care of another way!
While a significant number of people think that this wasn't a suicide because she hadn't named names yet...
For you to suggest that the VP had her killed, that's just classless.
And of course, since you instantly blame it on Republicans you show your stupidity and bias yet again.
I'm sure that she just as many Democrat clients who didn't want their name out as Republican ones. And make up your mind please....are all Republicans child-molesting, toe-tapping gays, or are they Johns?
Why do you and others say that it is a victimless crime? The prostitutes lives are horrible. Very few enjoy selling their bodies. They usually become substance abusers to relieve the emotional pain. They most often die of overdose. They are the real victims.

--Exactly, Endo...Wow. We agree on something. That's the same thing I've been saying about our "all volunteer" military but cons are all..."They choose to do it and no one is forcing them. PTSD is just a bunch of liberal hooey...blah blah blah..." ;-x
I'm sure the conspiratorial types out there will wonder if this was a staged suicide considering her client list but I'm thinking she thought death was preferable to the rest of her life in a jail cell. At her age that is what she was facing with 55 years.
in a case like this, it is normal to bargain by releasing names of clients.
since she didn't, it raises the question of why.
and since we know many of the clients are still in office, it makes everything about this case confusing. as outsiders, we will probably never know what really happened.

many sources listed cheney as a top customer.
May 24, 2007-- Well, lookie, lookie, Roll Call, Politico and Wonkette all served up items yesterday that mentioned the possibility that Dick Cheney used the services of Deborah Jeane Palfrey's escort service in the 1990s. But little credit was given to ***, the investigative reporter who first blew the lid off the story (which we've followed in some, um, interesting dominatrix-inspired directions). We've already detailed how the mainstream media has often stolen his goods. Today, we catch up with him on his scoop.
*** tells Big Head DC that he first started hearing over two weeks ago that Dick Cheney might be involved. His first source had has strong ties to the Democratic party; he's since had confirmation from individuals associated with the CIA and with the Pentagon. He says that all his sources are "trustworthy" and "inside the game."
Only in America, the president can commit high crimes, lie to congress, lie to the world to kill the population of a weaker country and not get impeached. But pay sex and the country is ready to go back to the dark ages and stone the person to death. We don't tolerate paying for pleasure of the flesh. However, marriage turns a women into a live-in prostitute. What woman would continue giving sex to her husband if he stopped giving her money or told her she needed to get a job to support herself and they would split the cost of raising any children they have? The very people who accused her are probably a client of another sex service. It is absolutely senseless. Two people want to make an agreed exchange then that is their business. If it was a married man or woman paying for sex outside the marriage then that is an issue for the spouse to deal with, not the country or the government. If it was a single person paying for sex that is their own decision, besides, men are always paying.
Oh, yeah. If the Prostitute had the name of the V P on her customer list she could stay out of jail, and make lots more money. She outted the Republicans, it is the Democrats she protected. When they couldn't get her off (D C is a Democrat city) she was going to tell all. I bet you think only Republicans used her services. Very naive.
Not much for conspiracy theories but I did find it an odd coincidence that the 1st woman prosecuted in this matter also committed suicide. This one made the public statement that she was not like the other woman and would name names if she were given too hard of a sentence.
Just doesn't sound quite right.
I think she was killed. She was stupid. If she had names of important people she should have made arrangements for all the names to be released, not just the Republicans. It would have been insurance against falling down with a rope around your neck,
just once why dont u get the info before commenting...she did give the list to abc but as soon as justice found out they stopped her.....the cheney connection to this dc hooker is documented all ovr the net.....just like faggo the cia dude that carol liam was fired for investigating is connected to cheney...just like convicted, wade the defense contractor, is connected to cheney
There appears a quote in this morning's Washington Post from one Dan Moldea, an investigative reporter who interviewed Ms Palfrey. "I'm not going back to jail. I'll kill myself first. I'll commit suicide first." "Those were her exact words" said Moldea. Moldea had written books on the assasination of Bobby kennedy, the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa and the death of Vince Foster.

Facing up to 55 years in prison, i think that would be enough to depress her.
"Channing Phillips, the spokesman for the U.S. attorney's office in the District of Columbia, said that under sentencing guidelines, Palfrey faced 57 to 71 months in prison. She was free pending her sentencing July 24."
Up to 55 years????? ROFLMAO!!!!!
How odd that she would go on record saying she would NOT commit suicide. ; )
But don't take my word for it. Listen to her yourself!

I was thinking about that myself...this whole thing is fishy. Fishy like month old fish...
Yeah, odd.
And this is the 2nd suicide from the same group. =(
I don't know...This sounds like Vince Foster all over again to me! I want an investigation!!!!! ;-x
Bill Clinton did it!
