Posted by: tehranchik 1 month, 3 weeks agoLast March, it was discovered that the U.S. government had been sitting on evidence that was exculpatory for Mr. Khadr. In his affidavit, Khadr describes abusive treatment by the American first at Baghram Air Force Base, and later at Guantanamo.

Hey Propeller why do you sit here and try to prosecute the military in EVERY SINGLE ARTICLE.
You slime bags never post articles where you were wrong. Jack Murtha called the military MURDERERS and COLD BLOODED KILLERS and you posted that story. But NOT ONE OF THOSE MEN WERE PROSECUTED. WHERE IS THE STORY ABOUT THAT HUH????????????
You fascist Libs. only post you hate filled articles towards American soldiers and you try to destroy this country from within. Now your posting Canadian story's about AMERICAN military because you want them to look like murderers. Our military deserves better than a bunch of fakes like you who act like you actually care when instead, everything you do is politically motivated to make Bush look bad. Get over it. Bush isn't in uniform.
You are the ones who are murderers. Your killing us from the inside and it's sick to watch. Stop pandering to the left that so quickly despises everything American that doesn't fit their view point.

Jack Murtha should be sued and thrown in prison.

There is no exculpatory evidence here. At best his lawyers are trying to claim that A HOUSE as in 1 house was actually a compound.
Even in this incredibly one sided story ya can't make the claim that "a house" is "the compound"
I'm impressed with our soldier's professionalism. This guy just killed one of their own and rather than kill him outright or turning him over to the Northern alliance (they executed ALL non Afghans captured) they took him into custody.

I have travelled months at a time in a different country's from central America, to Asia, to Europe. I have lived with family's from different country's and I appreciate life more than anyone.
When you go to different country's they have respect for their people and the military. There is none of that in AMerica comeing from Liberals. I have never seen a policital group like Liberals that despise everything American and blame us for the worlds problems.
All you do is read my opinions and you form an opinion about me. All of a sudden Im a neo-con because I stand up for the military. But if you knew me, you would know that I put down Bush, Obama, Mccain because none of them are perfect. They are in fact the problem.
There are a lot of books out there but the best way to look at life is too experience it and form your own opinion. From what I see, Liberals use the military and it's flaws as a way to make Bush look bad. That is not the way to prove your point.

DL---I have said nothing except that you might think life is cheap elsewhere. Don't put words in my mouth. I didn't say you were a neo-con. What I said was you might need some understanding of situational power and how it happens. I believe that the soldiers who commit atrocities get caught up in a system of power with a definite authority. I didn't call the military names but I don't have any respect for men who behave the way these men have been shown to behave. There were many eyewitnesses to what they did but unfortunately they were Iraqi so their testimony doesn't count.

The torture trials are another matter---OUR men stood by while it happened. They even softened up the victims for the interrogations. If they were told they were doing a good job, they continued.
The men who have come forward to tell what they saw or heard or were even a part of have been drug through the mud. I think they are the real heros. No military on earth should get away with what we are doing.
Being a soldier doesn't necessarily make you a good person DL.

The kid was 15 years old!
My kids are older than that.
But not as old as he is now.
I love my kids.

Wow
Theres a whole lot more to this story than is stated in this article.
Khadr admitted that he threw the grenade. It happened after the house he was in with some militants had been bombed by U S Airplanes.
He had been injured by the bombing and said he thought the soldiers were going to kill him where he lay, since they were shooting at him. He was hit by three gunshots.
Still able to see his attackers he thought they were going to assinate him where he lay after the grenade killed the U S Special Forces soldier. He was 15.
Later the wife of the killed soldier sued Khadr's father and the U S Judge issued a judgement of $102 million against Khadr's father.
I suppose that's enough for starters.
Oops! Forgot. I believe that the U S Tribunal Courts have decided to ignore the Canadian Court ruling.
Check it out.
