Get rid of the war, trim the military -- we don't need bases through out the world unless those countries are paying for us --, Go back to 1954 style tax system, bring back the jobs, etc.

I do not disagree with the article or the above comment, BUT it would only be a bandaid. First of all, our debt is not only to foreign countries, but it is a debt to the Federal Reserve. The sad irony in the plannign of our system in the US is that the Federal Reserve is neither federal nor a reserve. It is a private institution. As Americans, we own very littleof our money. Next time you get a pay check, the real truth is that you do not even own the money you just earned in that check. It belongs to the Federal Reserve.

A Federal Reserve Note is not money, it's an IOU, Federal Reserve Notes are fiat currency. If you bought it with a Federal Reserve note, they own it. The people behind the Federal Reserve is the reason for everything going wrong in this country, and I mean everything! By the way, there has never been a Chairman of the Federal Reserve that hasn,t been a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) .

All of my friends with large cash savings already put half into gold years ago and have been predicting this scenario for a while. They now say it will get worse, way worse before it gets better.
I am just glad not to be one of the millions of Americans facing foreclosure. I have lost everything twice and it is not a good time in life, but it happens.
