This nonsense is put out by the same people that contributed to the existing problems. They have blocked construction of refineries for years. The real shortage is in handling the raw product and then refining it. We imported diesel(heating)oil for years because it was a cheap byproduct of making gasoline. Now, the rest of the world uses diesel and has bid the price up. If the Greens are serious about letting the oil companies drill on the leases they have now, suspend/speedup the rigorous permitting procedures so they can be done in months instead of decades.
