This must come...too many people just can't afford a really good health plan. The question is, how to pay for it.

Any change which is going to work is going to need to address other issues as well such as our legal system and also insurance. We need to address exorbitant settlements which will take some pressure of the insurance companies which end up paying this out and charging the doctors and hospitals more to cover it. Then work on the drug companies. these all done together will make a difference. Try to address one without addressing the others and I think we are doomed to failure.

We're ranked 37th out of 191 countries in overall health care by the World Health Organization (WHO) yet we pay twice as much as the next highest country (Switzerland) per person. Single payer health care insurance would save the U.S. billions and insure everybody. There are roughly 47-million U.S citizens without adequate health care simply because it is too expensive. This is a national disgrace for the richest most powerful country in the world. No family should have to choose between medications or food because of cost in the affluent U.S.

When an American patient goes to India and gets an 8 hour surgery to fix spinal cord and herniated discs for $25,000 as opposed to $250,000 here, there is something wrong here for sure.

When any uninsured Indian can walk in to any pharmacy and get 90 day supply of prescription drugs for BP, Diabetes & Cholesterol for $19 as opposed to $235 here, there is something wrong here for sure.
